Hotel Features. This three storey hotel is set in a splendid 18th century country house in the Scottish baronial style with views across the loch and the hills. Guests enjoy complimentary use of the nearby Isles of Glencoe Hotel's leisure centre where facilities include an indoor swimming pool, a children's pool and a sauna.
The Ballachulish Hotel's Blas Bar & Bistro serves Scottish and European specialities in a traditional setting. A fine range of single malt whiskies are available from the bar.
Meeting rooms are available which can accommodate up to 90 people.
The Lochaber Water Sports facility, three miles from the hotel, offers boat, canoe and bike hire and runs fishing trips. Nevis Range, Scotland's highest ski area, is 17 miles from the hotel.
Guestrooms. The 53 guestrooms have traditional Scottish styling and modern furnishings; all are equipped with satellite television, coffee/teamakers, makeup mirrors and trouser presses. Cribs are available.
Expert Tip. Just off the A85 midway between Fort William and Spean Bridge the mountain gondola carries passengers up the Nevis Range. Adventurous guests may descend the mountain on skis, snowboards, mountain bikes and even hangliders. For those less energetic, a meal in the Snowgoose Restaurant might offer a more agreeable pace.
