The Dorisol Florasol is a modern holiday complex set in lush gardens overlooking the bay of Funchal, two and a half kilometres from the city centre, on the island of Madeira. This 12 storey hotel features 103 studios, all of which include a simple white decor with modern furnishings and cool tiled floors. All rooms have air conditioning, cable television and kitchens with cookware/dishes for self catering.
Le Chef Restaurant serves regional specialities and international favourites in an informal setting, while buffet breakfast is served each morning in the Garni Breakfast Lounge. The Florasol Bar offers snacks and drinks throughout the day. The lagoon style swimming pool has a terrace with lounge chairs, towels and complimentary sunshades, overlooking the sea. Kids can enjoy themselves in a separate paddling pool and playground. Souvenirs can be bought in the gift shop and beauty treatments are offered in the hair salon. A shuttle bus provides service to the city centre free of charge and parking is complimentary. The games room features table tennis, darts and pool and there is a tennis court and fitness equipment for exercise fans. Folk entertainment and live music is offered twice a week. A charming promenade and Lido swimming complex are both a 200 metre walk from the hotel and Madeira wine company is two kilometres away. Funchal Airport is a 25 minute drive or 20 kilometres from the hotel.

There is a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport. A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs approximately 30 EUR.
Driving directions: From the airport head for Funchal, exit Hospital/Funchal, then head for Camara de Lobos and cross the bridge, pass the traffic lights and turn left at the Lido cross junction and the hotel is on the right.
