The Hotel Caravel is a modern white building set in palm filled Mediterranean gardens and situated in a peaceful residential area of Sorrento, 20 kilometres from Pompeii. The 92 air conditioned guestrooms have simple white decor with light wooden furniture, patterned fabrics and maiolicati floors. All include safes, direct dial phones, satellite television and bathrooms with toiletries and hair dryers.
Guests can enjoy a leisurely swim in the outdoor pool which also has massage jets, or admire the views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples from the rooftop sun terrace. Italian and Mediterranean cuisine is served in the relaxed restaurant which has an extensive wine list and hosts a weekly Neapolitan evening with live music. At the Lemon Bar guests can enjoy pizza or pasta on an outdoor terrace set in the gardens near the pool. Four evenings a week the piano bar hosts live music, and guests can also enjoy a drink on the patio, or take advantage of room service. Those interested in sightseeing can use the Internet to plan an itinerary, and multilingual staff can help book tours or tickets. The island of Capri is eight kilometres away and Amalfi, Vesuvius and Naples can all be found within 52 kilometres. Naples Airport is approximately 48 kilometres and a 60 minute drive from the hotel.

A bus runs from Naples Airport to Sorrento every two hours during the day and the journey takes approximately 60 minutes. Taxis are also available and should cost 80 100 EUR. Alternatively, a limo service can be booked through the hotel. From Naples Airport take the autostrada A3 Napoli Salerno. Follow the route Salerno/ Reggio Calabria Penisola Sorrentina as far as the exit for Castellammare di Stabia. Drive along the SS 145 and go through Vico Equense, Meta Di Sorrento, Piano di Sorrento as far as S.Agnello. Go straight on, and then take the third turning on the right.
