Location. The Baia Portinenti is a modern, whitewashed villa style property located in the old town of Lipari, just 20 metres from the sea and 40 kilometres from Filicudi Island and nature reserve. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 120 kilometres away, a 120 minute drive.
Hotel Features.The Baia Portinenti shuttle bus runs between the apartments and the town's beaches, the marina and the major attractions, and the hotel has a hydro massage pool set in the peaceful gardens, a 24 hour front desk with concierge services and wireless Internet access throughout. Other practical amenities include safe deposit boxes, complimentary parking and express check in/check out.
Guestrooms. The 27 guestrooms have simple, light decor with wicker furniture, and include air conditioning, balconies, cable television, direct dial phones, wireless Internet access and kitchenettes with fridges.
Expert Tip. The medieval walls surrounding Lipari town centre are just 200 metres from the hotel, and the town has a cathedral and several archaeological sites. Salina is the second largest of the islands and is located 20 kilometres away.

Getting there. Take the airport shuttle to the port of Milazzo. From here, take a ferry or hydrofoil to the island. The town, especially the old town, is easily explored on foot. The hotel shuttle bus connects the apartments with the beaches, marina and other points of interests.
