Location. The Soglia Grand Hotel is located in the fashionable resort of Forte dei Marmi, Italy, adjacent to the seafront and 300 metres from the centre of town. Forte dei Marmi train station is five kilometres away.
Hotel Features. This three storey seaside property has a bright interior with contemporary furnishings. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool with poolside bar, a sun deck with loungers, and laundry facilities. Safe deposit boxes and currency exchange are provided at the 24 hour front desk, and staff can assist with travel and tourist arrangements.
A complimentary buffet style breakfast is served each morning. The Soglia Restaurant offers lunch and dinner menus, featuring Italian and local specialities with indoor and outdoor seating and views of the pool. The Lounge Bar offers drinks and light snacks in a modern setting with seating on the terrace next to the pool.
Bicycles can be hired from the hotel and are an ideal means to explore the local vicinity. Water sports are offered along the sea front and at Massaciuccoli Lake. Rock climbers of all levels will find challenging climbs in the Apuan Alps.
Guestrooms. The 60 air conditioned guestrooms have balconies with views of the sea. Each has bright decor with simple furniture. All are equipped with satellite television, telephones, dial up Internet connections, climate control and minibars. Bathrooms have bidets and hair dryers. Wake up calls can also be arranged.
Expert Tip. During the 16th Century, marble cut from the Apuan Alps began to be shipped out of Forte dei Marmi. The long pier, where trading ships and yachts alike once tied up, still stretches into the sea.

From Pisa Airport (PSA):
Distance to Soglia Grand Hotel is 40 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. A direct train service runs between Pisa Airport and the city centre. Services also run from the airport to Pontedera, Florence, and Empoli. Single tickets cost approximately 1.20 EUR to Pisa, and 5 EUR to Florence. Buses run from outside arrivals. Taxi fare to the hotel is approximately 100 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Forte dei Marmi is easy to explore on foot. Cycling is popular along the coast. Local and regional buses are inexpensive. A car is useful for exploring the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Driving directions. From the airport follow the A12/E80 motorway towards Versilia and follow signs to Forte dei Marmi.
