Location. The Novotel Caserta Sud is a modern, red brick hotel set near Italy's A1 highway to the south of Caserta. The city centre shops, restaurants and historic attractions are two kilometres from the hotel and Naples is 25 kilometres away. Naples International Airport is 22 kilometres (13.5 miles) distance, an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
Hotel Features. The outdoor swimming pool has a terrace area dotted with sunbeds where guests can relax, while children can be kept amused in the onsite playground. There is room service available for snacks and drinks, a complementary shuttle bus which runs to and from Caserta city centre and railway station, and car parking for a surcharge. The hotel also has seven meeting rooms with a capacity for 240 people, and wireless Internet access throughout.
The hotel's Cote Jardin is a modern air conditioned restaurant serving international dishes, with a patio overlooking the pool and garden. Children's menus are available and it is open daily for lunch and dinner. In the hotel bar guests can enjoy drinks and snacks until late.
Guestrooms. The 126 air conditioned guestrooms, located on six floors, feature modern decor in cool shades with simple furnishings. All include air conditioning, satellite television, wireless Internet access (surcharge), direct dial phones and minibars. White tile and marble bathrooms have hair dryers.
Expert Tip. Visitors should make sure to visit Caserta's Royal Palace, a UNESCO world heritage site which is two kilometres away. Built by the Bourbon king Charles III in the mid 18th century, the opulent palace also has magnificent public gardens with fountains and sculptures.

Getting there. Buses run from the airport to Naples train station where there are frequent trains to Caserta, taking about 35 minutes. Caserta train station is two kilometres from the hotel. Taxis are also available from the airport and should cost approximately 40 EUR to the hotel. The hotel runs a complementary shuttle bus to Caserta downtown and the railway station. Caserta is compact and can be easily explored on foot. Trains run from Caserta to Naples, and Naples has an integrated bus, subway and tram system. Naples is a large city and although the simplest way to see it is on foot, public transport is recommended for visiting some areas. A car would be useful for trips along the coast, and rentals are available online.
Driving directions. From the airport take highway A1 RM NA and exit at Caserta Sud. Follow signs for the hotel.
